Common Sleep Challenges

Split nights, early rising, and false starts are all covered in great detail as a part of this self-paced course.

In case you’re unsure if that’s what is happening in your house, here’s a quick explanation of each:

Split Nights: Your baby wakes up in the middle of the night and won’t resettle to sleep, despite your best efforts, for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. If this long wakeful period is happening 3-4 times a week for 3 or more weeks, you’re probably dealing with a split night.

Early Rising: Babies and Toddlers are generally earlier risers than we would be as adults but this course will cover how to address Early Rising before 6am.  If your baby or toddler is waking up in the 4s or 5s, we’ve got you covered.

False Starts: It’s normal for babies and toddlers to wake at night, but if you find that your child is waking up within the first hour after bedtime or is waking up multiple times in the first few hours of the night, that’s a false start.  We’ll take you through the possible causes and how to address them so you’re empowered to make changes to your little one’s sleep.

Fundamentals of Sleep

We have seen what a difference it makes to ensure the fundamentals of sleep are in place before making a transition. For this reason, we are including 3 foundational modules in this course!

We have set up this course so that you have all the information and tools you need from the foundations of sleep to specific solutions. Our fundamentals of sleep modules are essential in this course as sleep environment and sleep science often play a large role in the sleep concerns we address so please be sure to take the time to go through these modules. Additionally, we break down each sleep challenge into specific causes. From there, we provide recommendations and steps to address each possible cause. 


Does this course support bed-sharing families?
Yes. The changes we address can be applied in ways that will be compatible with however your family's sleeping arrangement is set up at night.

How long will it take to see changes from the guidance provided in the course?
This will vary for each family. Every baby is different and will respond to changes at their own pace. If you have a sensitive child you may need to take things at a slower pace but all of our solutions will still be applicable.
